Lesson 1 · B7.4.2.1.1 · about 40 min
How Likely Is It? Impossible, Possible and Certain Events
Every day we say things like 'It will probably rain' or 'There is no way I can finish that by noon'. In this lesson you will learn to describe how likely an event is using the words impossible, possible and certain, and to give examples from your own life.

Lesson 2 · B7.4.2.1.2 · about 45 min
Classifying the Likelihood of Outcomes with Dice
A die, a coin and a spinner are the tools of probability experiments. In this lesson you will list every possible outcome of an experiment (the sample space) and use it to decide whether a given outcome is impossible, possible or certain, first with one die and then with two dice.

Lesson 3 · B7.4.2.1.3 · about 55 min
Calculating Probability as Fractions, Decimals, Percentages and Ratios
Probability puts a number on chance. In this lesson you will use the sample space to calculate the probability of an event and write it as a fraction, a decimal, a percentage and a ratio. You will use it to answer questions about dice, coins, spinners and bags of objects, just as a weather forecaster says 'a 30% chance of rain'.
